Living with painful, itchy hives – even while taking antihistamines?
You may qualify for a clinical research study in Birmingham that’s exploring a new approach to treating chronic hives.
This study is for people living with:
- Cold-Induced Urticaria (ColdU) – hives triggered by cold air, water, or objects
- Symptomatic Dermographism (SD) – hives caused by rubbing, scratching, or pressure on the skin
These conditions can impact sleep, cause discomfort, and affect your daily life. If antihistamines haven’t helped enough, you’re not alone—and you may be eligible to join a research study testing an investigational medication.
About the Study
Cahaba Clinical Research is conducting the EMBARQ-COLDU & SD Study, a Phase 3 clinical trial sponsored by Celldex Therapeutics. This study is evaluating an investigational medication called barzolvolimab (CDX-0159) to learn if it may help reduce symptoms of chronic hives like itching, swelling, and pain.
There is no cost to participate, and all study-related care and medication are provided at no charge. Participants may also receive reimbursement for time and travel-related expenses.
